About Ode
Ode’s approach views skincare as a unique and nuanced aspect of one’s personal healthcare, encompassing body, mind, and spirit. A holistic and sustainable approach to skincare understands the skin organ as a whole, with important components and functions to carefully consider for optimization and over-all long term health.
It is a joy and an honor to work with you and this very special and nuanced organ, the skin, which is our great boundary between our inner and the outer world. There is rhythm here. There is a breathing life-force that seeks balance and proper support to ultimately thrive in health. When our skin is optimally supported, we can rest assured more.
In serving diverse clients over many years, it is found to be true that most often, less is more. When the skin is encouraged toward balance and health, it is taken care of at the foundation, strong and protected. We are honored to be of service to you in supporting you and this aspect of your health and wellbeing.
Melodee Hansen
Licensed Esthetician, owner
Melodee has been practicing natural, holistic skincare since 2007, having her early roots in the Dr. Hauschka method of skincare, which has a focus on gentle lymphatic stimulation at its heart. Born and raised on the rural Olympic Peninsula, Melodee came into the world with a strong inclination in the arts, graduating from The Evergreen State College with a major in Art History and minor in fiber arts and dance. With a life-long interest and leaning into the healing arts in her life’s unfolding path, she has cultivated her craft of holistic skincare with dedication and passion. Detail, inquiry, and historical reference—not so much trends—being paramount. Melodee has woven artistry with sensibility, sustainability for person and planet, tried and true science, and nature’s innate wisdom into her practice, which she hopes extends well outside the treatment room for her clients.
Specializing in gentle supportive skincare with a highlight on sensitive and sensitized skin, she continually seeks out safe solutions for her client’s varying conditions and concerns, including simple strategies in approaching wising (aka aging) gracefully—with long term health kept in sight and mind.
Melodee also specializes in brow artistry, utilizing a combination of sugaring and tweezing.
